Dortmund exit seemingly sealed: Adeyemi transfer on the verge of completion
The attacking player is likely to leave BVB. An agreement with FC Barcelona is reportedly in place.
Karim Adeyemi will transfer to FC Barcelona.
Several media outlets are reporting this unanimously, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed the transfer as fixed.
Accordingly, Adeyemi's current club, Borussia Dortmund, and the Catalans are said to have reached an agreement. Adeyemi is reportedly set to sign a five-year contract with Barca.
The transfer fee is reportedly 22 million euros, with potential bonuses - depending on the report - amounting to 7 to 9 million euros. According to "Sky", BVB has also secured a 35 percent sell-on clause.
Adeyemi's contract would have expired in the summer of 2027.
Adeyemi moved from Red Bull Salzburg to Dortmund in the summer of 2022. The 24-year-old made 146 appearances for BVB, scoring 36 goals and providing 25 assists.
