ÖFB talent Schuster misses Liverpool game due to injury
Coach Keith Andrews plays it safe with Jannik Schuster – the defensive gem misses the home game against Liverpool due to injury.
Jannik Schuster is not available for Brentford FC in the home game against Liverpool FC.
The 20-year-old defender is struggling with an ankle injury. The ÖFB defensive gem already went into the match against Aston Villa with this injury, where he was substituted at half-time.
Coach Keith Andrews noted before this match that there was "a small incident with his ankle, so I thought it was the right decision to take him out of the firing line for now."
Voted Player of the Month by Fans
How long the youngster will be out is not clear. However, Schuster trained during the week, so it should not be a long-term injury for the former Red Bull Salzburg player.
Schuster has played his way into the "Bees'" starting eleven in recent weeks. Due to his strong performances, the centre-back was recently voted Player of the Month for September by the fans.
