Report: Man City Could Face These Penalties
Manchester City is reportedly facing drastic penalties as a result of the financial scandal.
Manchester City could be excluded from European competitions for several years.
According to Colombian sports journalist Cesar Augusto Londono on "X", UEFA is reportedly considering a ban of seven to ten years.
This would be conditional on the guilty verdict against the English top club being upheld even after appeal.
Forced Relegation Also Within the Realm of Possibility
At the heart of the financial scandal are alleged breaches of financial regulations from 2009 to 2018. Manchester City denies all accusations and has lodged an appeal.
An official confirmation of the reported UEFA penalty is not yet available. Further sanctions such as a points deduction or forced relegation from the Premier League are also being discussed.
