First transfer for Jaissle: Newcastle reportedly signs new keeper
Jaissle will take up his job at Newcastle soon. A new keeper is expected to arrive to ensure a successful season. He is a former teammate of Florian Grillitsch.
It should only be a matter of hours until former Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle is officially presented as the new manager of Newcastle United.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the German has already signed his contract.
New arrival from Portugal
Even before his official unveiling, the first new signing under Jaissle is now emerging. According to Romano, Newcastle has agreed on a transfer with Czech goalkeeper Lukáš Horníček and is activating his release clause of £25 million. The 24-year-old is moving from Portuguese top-flight club SC Braga to England.
Horníček has already agreed on personal terms with the "Magpies" and will sign a contract until June 30, 2031, after a successful medical examination.
