The former FC Red Bull Salzburg coach is set for a move to the Premier League. There is now reportedly a rejection for his job in Saudi Arabia.
According to media reports, former Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle is on the verge of a move from Al Ahli (Saudi Arabia) to English Premier League club Newcastle United. A Tyrolean is also expected to follow him >>>
Al Ahli must now – similar to FC Red Bull Salzburg three years ago – look for a new head coach shortly before the start of the season. The Saudi club has already received its first rejection.
Slot Reportedly Wants European Job
According to the "Daily Mail," the original candidate Arne Slot has no interest in the task. The Dutchman is reportedly eyeing a top job in Europe after his departure from Liverpool.
Al Ahli most recently won the Asian Champions League twice. Jaissle moved there from Salzburg in 2023 shortly before the start of the season. After that, the then Austrian serial champions (ten championships in a row) did not win a single title.
