In the 8th round of the Premier League, Arsenal defeats Everton 2-0 and is now level on points with league leaders Manchester City in second place in the table.

After the Citizens had previously lost to Aston Villa (>>> to the match report), the London team had a great chance to draw level on points. And the "Gunners" got serious right away: Ezri Konsa scored from a rebound after a corner, after Gabriel had previously headed against the crossbar (7').

Overall, Arsenal remained largely dominant afterwards, only lacking the final concentration in front of goal. In the second half, the hosts finally extended their lead, not undeservedly: Ben White set up Gabriel, who headed in to make it 2-0 (68'). After that, last season's champions didn't let anything else happen and secured three important points.

Victory for Affengruber

David Affengruber can celebrate Fulham FC's second win of the season and simultaneously their second consecutive win. Oscar Bobb scored the decisive and deserved goal in the away match against Coventry City in the 80th minute, with Affengruber playing the full match in central defense.

Fulham now has eight points and moves up to twelfth place in the table, while Coventry is second to last with six points.
