Jackson Brace: ManCity Suffers First Season Defeat

On Matchday 8 of the Premier League, Aston Villa defeats Manchester City 2-1.

The "Villans" start the match with a bang. McGinn wins the ball from Guehi and passes to Jackson. He beats Anderson and powerfully smashes the ball into the top near corner for a 1-0 lead (6').

City gets their first big chance in the 20th minute. Doku lays off in the middle to Cherki, but his shot is superbly saved by Suzuki.

Jackson Completes His Brace

At halftime, Lewis and Foden come into the game, bringing fresh impetus. Ndiaye delivers a cross into the middle after a free-kick, where Haaland rises highest and heads it in from four meters for 1-1 (52').

Shortly after, it's Jackson again. The striker gets a shot away on a counter-attack, Donnarumma doesn't look good, and the ball goes in for 2-1 (60'). A brace for Jackson.
