After a sensational seventh-place finish last year, AFC Sunderland is still struggling to get going in the Premier League.

On the sixth matchday, the "Black Cats" suffered their fourth defeat of the season. Sunderland lost 0-2 to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Maxim de Cuyper (53') scored the opener for the "Seagulls." After Struijk fouled Isidor (57'), Brighton played with ten men for over half an hour. However, Sunderland couldn't convert their numerical advantage into goals and conceded a second goal by Hadjam (90'+3) in stoppage time.

ÖFB legionnaire Kevin Danso played the full match for the hosts.

Michael Svoboda was not in Brighton's matchday squad.

Schuster earns draw at Aston Villa

FC Brentford, with Jannik Schuster, earned a point at Aston Villa. In an open exchange, the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Schuster was once again in the starting eleven for the "Bees" but was substituted at halftime.

Promoted side Ipswich shocks Affengruber

There was still no success for David Affengruber's Fulham. After a long lead against promoted side Ipswich Town, they suffered a 1-2 defeat. Outtara (88') and O'Shea (90'+2) turned the game around within minutes.

Affengruber played the full match for Fulham. After six matchdays, Alvaro Arbeloa's team has a meager two points and is in a direct relegation spot.

Chelsea celebrates dominant win

FC Chelsea gave AFC Bournemouth no chance with a dominant 5-1 victory. An early brace by Henderson (2') and Rogers (3') set the course for victory. Seconds after the restart, Joao Pedro made it clear (46').

Although the visitors pulled one back through Evanilson (51'), Pedro (67') and Henderson (70') with a direct free-kick each completed their braces and secured the final score.
