On the fifth matchday of the German Bundesliga, FC Augsburg secures a point against FC Bayern Munich with a 2-2 draw.

The match starts furiously. After kick-off, Neuer lets the ball bounce a little too far away, and Fellhauer steals it from him. The Augsburg player runs alone towards the goal and slots it in for a 1-0 lead after a record time of 8.5 seconds.

Bayern appear shocked in the aftermath, having chances to equalize through Kane with a header (14th min) and Upamecano after a corner kick (32nd min), but the early goal conceded takes its toll.

Kane just misses before the half-time whistle

In the 35th minute, Bah has a huge chance to make it 2-0. After a corner kick, the ball falls to the defender's feet from two meters out, but Bah fails to put the ball on target.

Virtually with the half-time whistle, the record champions then have a great chance to equalize. Pavlovic delivers the ball from a half-left position just in front of the Augsburg goal. Kane rushes in and hits the crossbar from close range (45'+4).

Diaz scores fantastic disallowed equalizer

Bayern emerge well from the break. After a free-kick, Diaz gets to the ball in the middle and scores with an overhead kick (51st min). But VAR intervenes and disallows the goal due to a tight offside call.

Four minutes later, however, it finally happens. Kane lays off a long ball for Saibari, the Moroccan takes the ball perfectly in his stride and slots it in for the 1-1 equalizer (55th min).

Augsburg, however, are not intimidated. After a strong transition moment, Brackelmann shoots from the edge of the box, Neuer can only parry the ball into the middle, where Ribeiro is waiting and just has to tap it in (64th min).

Gnabry's equalizer disallowed again

Shortly after, Stanisic finds Kane upfront, who lays off to Gnabry. The attacking player scores, but it is again disallowed for offside (73rd min).

All good things come in threes: Just two minutes later, Diaz scores another goal with a backheel, but again, Davies is in an offside position in the build-up (75th min).

Shortly after, Dahmen saves with a superb reflex. Kane gets a header from five meters out after a cross from Gnabry, but the goalkeeper holds strong (78th min).

Substitute makes it 2-2

Kane ultimately initiates the late equalizer himself. On the left side, the striker combines his way to the byline and delivers the ball low into the middle. There, the introduced substitute Brown is waiting and only has to stick out his foot to make it 2-2 (80th min).

In the final phase, Bayern literally pinned Augsburg into their own penalty area. Cross after cross flew into the box. However, it remained 2-2, Augsburg secures a point against the record champions.

Bayern thus remain second behind Dortmund, and Augsburg are now fifth. For Augsburg, Gregoritsch is substituted in the 81st minute. Laimer is not available as the Austrian national team star became a father for the second time.

Stuttgart battles to second season win

VfB wins against promoted Paderborn and secures their second three points of the current season.

Jeff Chabot puts the visitors 1-0 up after 25 minutes. Stuttgart create chance after chance but are repeatedly thwarted by the strong Noll in Paderborn's goal.

Chris Führich then secures the 2-0 final score in the 83rd minute after an assist from Stiller. The winger shoots from a tight angle from the half-left position, leaving Noll no chance.

VfB thus jumps to 10th place in the table, while Paderborn are now 15th.
