Contract until 2034! Mega-deal for Chelsea star
His previous contract already ran until 2033, now Chelsea FC adds another year.
Chelsea FC is banking on Cole Palmer for the long term.
Although his previous contract would have run until 2033, the 14-time England international has prematurely extended his deal by another year until 2034. At the end of the contract, the attacking player would already be 32 years old.
"I have a feeling we will win major titles"
"Chelsea means a lot to me, and I believe the club is on the right track. That's why I'm incredibly happy about signing the contract," explains the 24-year-old. Trusting talks with coach Xabi Alonso and the club management were also crucial.
"I have the feeling that we will regularly win major titles here, and I want to be a part of that and also play an important role," Palmer said.
92 Goal Contributions since 2023
The Englishman moved from Manchester City to London in September 2023 for around 47 million euros. In 140 appearances for Chelsea so far, he has managed 92 goal contributions. His market value is currently estimated at 110 million euros.
In the current Premier League season, Palmer has two goals and two assists to his name. Since the end of September, however, he has been sidelined for the "Blues" due to a muscle injury.
