"I loved him from the first second," coach Keith Andrews is quoted by "The Hounslow Herald."
His "fearlessness" had already impressed him during scouting. "You could see on the videos what kind of character he has. We saw how he reacted to mistakes. He is so full of dedication," his coach praises him.
Schuster First Had to Be Convinced
In truth, however, you never know how a player will perform at a new club. "So, if I say I'm happy with him and the transfer, that would be an understatement," says the coach.
Especially in terms of character, the Tyrolean fits the "Bees." "Jannik is a good example of how we want to be. When we met him, we were certain we wanted him. He is the type of player and personality we want," Andrews stated.
The club, it is said, first had to convince Schuster that making the move to the Premier League so early was the right decision.
The Brentford coach expects him to play a key role this season: "I think he will be a great player for us for many years to come."
