The verdict in the financial fair play proceedings against Manchester City continues to be a topic of discussion in the English Premier League. Now Oliver Glasner and other coaches are also commenting on the case.

Glasner spoke strongly to "The Athletic". "The damage to the Premier League is still significant, not just in England. It's a major topic worldwide, especially in Europe. The most important thing is the integrity of the league, because as soon as fans can no longer trust it, they will stop watching the games," Glasner stated.

Glasner Also Affected

The coach also felt the consequences of the violations within his own team. With Marc Guéhi and national player Elliot Anderson, his former club Crystal Palace had to release two key players to City in 2026. Anderson moved to Manchester for a transfer fee of 135 million Euros.

Fellow Coaches Also Comment

Bournemouth coach Marco Rose also commented on the matter, but remained cautious with his assessment. "I don't have all the information. I trust the people who are familiar with such matters and situations, and then we will see what happens," said the former Red Bull Salzburg coach.

Coventry City coach and former Manchester City player Frank Lampard stated that he had "no opinion" on the verdict. Sunderland coach Régis Le Bris was more direct: "The responsible authorities must act relentlessly, otherwise the value of the competition will be lost."

Manchester City Appeals

Manchester City is accused of serious violations of the Premier League's financial rules. The club appealed the decision and continues to maintain its innocence.
