Early Exit: Glasner's Nottingham Falls to Leeds Again
Forest fails to get revenge against Leeds after their league defeat.
Oliver Glasner and Nottingham Forest are eliminated in the first round proper of the EFL Cup.
The "Tricky Trees" lose 0:2 in their home match against Leeds United. It's Glasner's side's second defeat against Leeds within a few days. They had lost 0:1 in the Premier League on Saturday.
Forest started somewhat better, after which the game became more balanced, heading into halftime at 0:0. Five minutes after the restart, Daniel James scored to give the visitors the lead. An own goal from Neco Williams (75.) sealed the outcome.
Nottingham's league campaign continues on Saturday (13:30) away at Liverpool FC. Furthermore, the club of Oliver Glasner and Austrian international Xaver Schlager is currently working on a record transfer.
