What does the future hold for Saša Kalajdžić?

The striker is currently in absolute top form. With LASK, he achieved the double this season, and with the ÖFB team, he saved the round of 16 with his goal deep in stoppage time against Algeria.

Contract in England

After the season concludes, the 28-year-old will return to England to the Wolverhampton Wanderers, who were recently relegated to the Championship.

The tall striker still has a contract with the Wolves until summer 2027, with an option for an additional year.

Transfer or Stay?

As "Sky" now reports, however, the Austrian's future is uncertain. Kalajdžić earned around 4 million pounds during his Premier League days. Although this has been somewhat reduced due to relegation, he would still have to forego money in the event of a transfer.

According to the report, the attacking player would cost a transfer fee in the low single-digit millions.

Ultimately, however, the decision likely lies with Kalajdžić himself: either staying at Wolverhampton with the mission of immediate promotion, or a summer transfer.

Stellar Season at LASK

However, the past season has shown what a fit Kalajdžić is capable of. The striker surprisingly joined LASK in the Steel City on loan in September. He didn't need a long acclimatization period.

In 27 games, he scored seven goals and set up eight others. In the end, he surprisingly won both the championship and the cup with the club.
