PSG Match-winner Doue: "I didn't steal anyone's show"

After two consecutive Champions League titles, Paris Saint-Germain initially started the current season with problems. In the league, the serial champions had to drop points several times.

However, the Parisians have now proven, with their 4-2 victory against FC Barcelona at the latest, that they are still one of the absolute top favorites for the title in the "Königsklasse" (Champions League) this season (To the match report>>>)

Against the previously flawless Catalans, the French delivered a very strong performance and did not let themselves be beaten despite conceding two equalizers. With this, they were able to prove that they are still one of the best, if not the best, team in the world.

"It's not for me to say..."

Match-winner Desire Doue, however, did not want to talk after the game about whether they are the best team.

"It's not for me to say if we are the best team in the world. You, the journalists and the fans, have to decide that. We give our best in every game, we are hungry," Doue told "Canal+".

The 21-year-old Doue was also asked about the comparison with Lamine Yamal, but he remained modest there too: "I didn't steal anyone's show, I just played my game. He is a great player, there are many great players at Barça. Congratulations to them, they were good tonight (Tuesday)."

"We must continue to prove our identity"

After three Champions League games, PSG now stands with nine points and an incredible 14 goals. Nevertheless, this victory against Barcelona was particularly important for the Parisians.

"It wasn't an easy game, but in my opinion, we deserved to win in the end, given what we showed. It's only a group stage game, but it was important to show what kind of team we are. Now we must continue to prove our identity," says defender Lucas Hernandez.
