Future secured! Two internationals remain at SV Ried
SV Ried extends contracts with two key players. Sports Director Lukas Brandl comments:
Yusuf Maart and Jussef Nasrawe will remain "Vikings".
SV Ried officially announced this on Tuesday morning. The contracts of the two key players have been extended prematurely until 2028.
Both Maart, a six-time full international for South Africa, and Nasrawe, an Iraqi national team player, have been regular starters for the Innviertel club so far this season.
Ried's Sports Director comments:
Central midfielder Maart has been in the starting eleven for every game across all competitions, while playmaker Nasrawe has recorded one goal and two assists in four Bundesliga matches.
"In his first Bundesliga season, Yusuf has shown that he is one of the best central midfielders in Austria. Furthermore, a very close relationship has developed with our SV Oberbank Ried. Despite strong international interest in the summer, it was clear to both sides that we wanted to extend this relationship. We are pleased to secure a constant that provides great stability to our team in transition," said Sports Director Lukas Brandl.
Regarding Jussef Nasrawe's extension, Brandl said: "Jussef came to us from FC Bayern with little professional football experience. He has already shown his great potential here; therefore, the decisions to sign him permanently in the summer and now to extend his contract were clear. We look forward to a shared future and his firm establishment in the Bundesliga. Jussef can take another big leap this year."
