Marlon Mustapha has found a new club.

The 25-year-old is moving from Italian Champions League club Como 1907 to the fourth German league. In the future, the Austrian international will be hunting for goals for SGV Heilbronn-Freiberg.

Never Broke Through at Como

Mustapha moved from Mainz 05 to Serie B club Como 1907 in the summer of 2023 for a transfer fee of 900,000 euros.

After half a season, however, the striker left the Italians again on loan for Fortuna Düsseldorf. This was followed by loan spells at Greuther Fürth and SCR Altach.

But even with the Vorarlbergers, Mustapha was hardly ever first choice last season. For Como, the 25-year-old ultimately made only eight appearances, failing to score a goal.

From the Champions League to the 4th League

Quite surprisingly, Mustapha is now moving to the Regionalliga Südwest, Germany's fourth-highest league.

While his former club Como is playing in the UEFA Champions League for the first time this season, Mustapha will now compete against, among others, the second teams of Mainz 05, Freiburg, Kaiserslautern, and Eintracht Frankfurt.
