New Signing Scores Twice: Vienna Wins Goal Thriller Against GAK
Six goals are scored in the friendly match between the traditional clubs. Vienna's new striker decides the game.
First Vienna FC prevailed in a high-scoring friendly match against GAK, winning 4:2.
The second-division side got off to a flying start, with newly signed Tobias Anselm scoring to make it 1-0 in the second minute.
The "Red Jackets" responded shortly before half-time, as Daniel Maderner leveled the score at 1-1 in the 42nd minute. After the break, GAK's new signing Anderson turned the game in favor of the Bundesliga club in the 52nd minute.
However, Vienna showed more staying power: Bernhard Zimmermann equalized just five minutes later (57th minute), and in the closing stages, Frenchman Youssouf Soukouna, signed this Tuesday, became the match-winner with a brace (72nd, 79th minute).
