"Totally Interesting Player" - Is Hartberg Tapping Rapid?

Several Bundesliga clubs are said to have signaled interest in a loan deal. One of them is TSV Hartberg, as head coach Markus Schopp now confirms.

"He is a totally interesting player," Schopp explains to the "Kleine Zeitung".

A Plus Point for Demir

Schopp likes the fact that the 21-year-old full-back, who was already loaned to TSV Hartberg in the 2024/25 season, already knows the club. "That's important to me," he asserts.

"He knows the environment, and his year here in Hartberg really did him good, and he also developed well at Rapid. But often, another coach comes with a different idea, and you're a bit out of the picture," Schopp says about Demir's situation.

"Several Options"

In the current season, Demir has only made a brief appearance so far – in the ÖFB Cup against Wienerberg. He is unlikely to play a major role in the plans of Rapid coach Johannes Hoff Thorup.

"The question is what he wants to do now; I think he has several options," Schopp states.
