Confirmed! Croatian U19 international moves to SV Ried
Ried announces their ninth summer transfer. The Croatian joins from 1. FC Nürnberg.
Tino Kusanovic joins SV Ried with immediate effect.
The 18-year-old centre-forward comes to Ried from 1. FC Nürnberg on loan with an option to buy.
The tall Croatian had a difficult time in Germany under coach Miroslav Klose and was therefore looking for a new challenge.
Professional Debut in May 2025
In May 2025, Kusanovic made his professional debut in the 2. Bundesliga against 1. FC Köln. Since then, however, the attacker has only played for the U23 team. There, he impressed towards the end of the season with five goals in six games.
"Tino had numerous offers from international top clubs, which makes us all the more delighted that he chose SV Oberbank Ried as a platform," explains Wolfgang Fiala, Sporting Director at SV Oberbank Ried.
"Tino is assertive and has a very good finishing touch. In the past, young strikers have already achieved great things in the Austrian Bundesliga. We will give Tino time to settle in with us and are confident that he will play some great games in a Ried jersey. We are still looking for another player up front, but we will not rush and will observe the market."
"Develop Both Football-wise and Personally"
"SV Oberbank Ried is a very family-oriented club. Ried plays at a high level in the 1. Liga. I am convinced that I can best develop both football-wise and personally here," says Tino Kusanovic.
"Football in Austria is very intense and robust – I like that! I see my own strengths in goal finishing and in one-on-one play. Furthermore, I am very ambitious. I want to achieve the best possible placement with the team this season."
