TSV Hartberg signs former RB Leipzig striker
The 21-year-old attacker is loaned for one year. The East Styrians also have a purchase option.
TSV Hartberg makes another move on the transfer market!
As the East Styrians announced on Wednesday, they have secured the services of Chilohem Onuoha.
The 21-year-old German will be loaned for one season from Portuguese top-flight club Estrela Amadora. Hartberg has also secured a purchase option for the striker.
"Many new possibilities" with Onuoha
Hartberg coach Markus Schopp is delighted with the new signing: "With Chilo, we're getting an attacking player who is two-footed and can play on both the left and right wings, as well as in the half-space."
Schopp continued: "He has received excellent training, but unfortunately, he hasn't gotten the playing time he hoped for recently in Portugal. With him, we gain a very interesting player who gives us many new offensive possibilities."
Hertha BSC, RB Leipzig, 1. FC Köln
Onuoha is 1.88 meters tall and hails from Berlin. In his youth, he played for clubs including Hertha BSC, and in 2022, he moved to RB Leipzig for 350,000 euros, where he played for the U19 team.
In 2024, he joined 1. FC Köln, who loaned him to SC Verl for one and a half years, where he scored six goals in 33 matches in the 3. Liga.
In January 2026, he moved to Portugal, but he remained without an appearance for Estrela Amadora.
Clear Vision in Hartberg
Onuoha is confident he can take the next step in Hartberg: "I am very happy to be here at TSV Hartberg. I had very good discussions with the coach, who conveyed a clear vision for this season to me. My goal is to get as much playing time as possible, help the team in the best possible way, and develop myself both athletically and personally."
