Bundesliga Match Postponements! Here are the new dates
As several Austrian clubs participate in international competitions, at least one Bundesliga match will be postponed – there could be more.
Match postponements in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga!
As several Austrian clubs are playing in international competitions, clubs have requested match postponements. This has been possible since the 2021/22 season for matches scheduled between both UEFA club competition playoff legs.
Now, LASK, Sturm Graz, Rapid, and Austria Wien are taking advantage of this opportunity. Depending on the teams' success in the third qualifying round of the UEFA qualifiers, the following matches of the 4th Bundesliga matchday are affected:
RZ Pellets WAC – LASK
The encounter will now be played on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 (7:30 PM), after LASK has secured their spot in the UEFA Champions League playoff. The original date would have been August 22.
SK Sturm Graz – SC Austria Lustenau
Should Sturm Graz reach the Champions League playoff, the clash will be postponed to September 2, 2026. If they do not succeed, the date of August 22, 2026, remains – however, it has already been confirmed that the kick-off time of the match will be moved from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
FC Red Bull Salzburg – SK Rapid
This match date depends on Rapid Wien. Should they reach the Conference League playoff, the clash against FC Red Bull Salzburg will take place on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
If Rapid does not advance internationally, the match will take place as planned on August 23, 2026.
FC Red Bull Salzburg's international result has no influence on the date.
FK Austria Wien – WSG Tirol
Should Austria Wien advance internationally, the clash with WSG Tirol will be postponed to September 2, 2026. If they are eliminated, the original date (August 23, 2026) remains.
A final decision and possible kick-off times for the matches involving Sturm, Rapid, and Austria Wien will be announced on August 14.
Bundesliga could benefit
Should the clubs reach the league phase, three percent of the starting prize money in the Champions League and 1.5 percent in the Europa League will go into a solidarity fund.
