Austria Key Player Out for European Competition

Wiener Austria travels to Romania on Wednesday morning.

On Thursday (from 7:30 PM in the LIVE ticker), the Violets will face Beitar Jerusalem in Ploiesti for the first leg of the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.

Eggestein Out

Johannes Eggestein did not board the plane.

The German is slightly injured. This is bitter news for the Violets, as the striker has already celebrated three goals in the young season.

Dragovic Back

Aleksandar Dragovic is back in the squad. The defensive leader had to leave the field with a concussion in the first cup round against Wiener Sport-Club and has now reported fit again.

Philipp Wiesinger, Manprit Sarkaria, and Noah Botic are still unavailable.

Coach Helm knows what awaits his team: "Beitar is a team that is very combinative and courageous in possession and at the same time acts very aggressively against the ball. We will prepare for that. We need to find a good mix and be very clear in our actions."
