Clash for potential Austria game: Austrian referee officiates in Portugal

Two Austrians will officiate in European competitions this week. In one clash, the potential opponent for Wiener Austria will be determined.

FK Austria Wien must overcome the hurdle of Beitar Jerusalem in the 3rd round of the UEFA Conference League. On Thursday, the first leg awaits in Romania (from 7:30 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).

Should they advance to the playoffs, the winner of the match between SC Braga and Dinamo Minsk will be waiting there. An Austrian referee team will travel to Portugal for the first leg of the encounter.

Styrian Christian-Petru Ciochirca will officiate the match. He will be assisted by Maximilian Weiß and Michael Obritzberger. Arnes Talic will be the fourth official, while Manuel Schüttengruber and Josef Spurny will be in the VAR room.

Ebner also in action

Stefan Ebner will also be in action internationally. In the Conference League qualifiers, he was assigned the match between Inter Club d'Escaldes (Andorra) and Flora Tallinn (Estonia). Martin Höfler and Amina Gutschi will serve as assistant referees. Safak Barmaksiz is the fourth official, with Harald Lechner and Julian Weinberger in the VAR room.

Furthermore, Alan Kijas will serve as VAR in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers. He will review the decisions of the match between Red Imps FC (Gibraltar) and Omonia FC (Cyprus).
