Possible UECL opponents drawn for Rapid, Austria and Salzburg!
Rapid could potentially face a very tough opponent. Austria didn't get it much easier either.
The draw for the UEFA Conference League playoffs took place in Nyon on Monday.
Three Austrian clubs – SK Rapid, FK Austria Wien, and FC Salzburg – also learned what their final qualifying hurdle on the way to the UEFA Conference League league phase could look like.
Rapid: Benfica or Hearts await
If SK Rapid wants to reach the Conference League league phase, Paide Linnameeskond must first be eliminated in the third UECL qualifying round (first leg on Thursday, from 6:00 PM in the LIVE ticker).
If they succeed, they will face the loser of Benfica Lisbon (POR) vs. Heart of Midlothian FC (SCO) in the playoffs. The two teams will play each other in Europa League qualification this week.
The Hearts have already encountered an Austrian representative in Champions League qualification. Sturm Graz eliminated the Scottish vice-champions in CL qualification with an aggregate score of 6-0.
Match dates are August 20 (first leg) and August 27 (second leg). Rapid would play away first, then the return leg at home.
Austria could meet Braga
A similar scenario for Wiener Austria: The "Violets" must first overcome Beitar Jerusalem in the third UECL qualifying round (first leg on Thursday, from 7:30 PM in the LIVE ticker).
If Austria makes it to the playoff, SC Braga (POR) or Dinamo Minsk (BLR) would await as opponents. Austria would have to play away in the first leg.
The match dates here are also August 20 (first leg) and August 27 (second leg).
Salzburg gets an easy draw
FC Salzburg is currently still in UEFA Europa League qualification. There, they will face FC Pafos in the third qualifying round (first leg on Thursday, from 7:00 PM in the LIVE ticker).

Only in the event of elimination against Pafos would the "Bulls" switch to the Conference League playoffs.
There, the "Mozartstädter" would meet Auda (LVA) or Dinamo City (ALB) in the fight for a spot in the league phase. The return leg would take place in Salzburg.
The first leg would be played on August 20, the second leg on August 27.
