Baidoo Stays in Salzburg - Is There Still an Agreement?
The Edmund Baidoo case is slowly drawing to a close. Will a transfer agreement still be reached in the end?
Salzburg sports director Marcus Mann's words regarding a possible departure for Edmund Baidoo (20) were unequivocal. "He will not leave the club. Contracts must be honoured and respected," the German made clear on "Sky".
Even a training strike, which Baidoo reportedly carried out according to "Salzburger Nachrichten", did not change the situation. A deal with Club Brugge for a summer transfer has consequently fallen through.
Agreement for 2027?
This has also been confirmed by Belgian transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri. Although Brugge attempted to facilitate a deal with a final offer in recent hours, Salzburg's door is definitively closed.
Nevertheless, the insider reports a "verbal agreement" between the parties, which should normally hold. Accordingly, Baidoo has permission to leave the club in 2027.
Belgian champions Brugge must - at least for this summer - look elsewhere.
