While Adam Daghim will leave FC Red Bull Salzburg for TSG Hoffenheim in the near future, the Bulls are blocking a transfer for Edmund Baidoo.

The young forward plays a central role in the plans of new coach Danny Röhl, but the Ghanaian was suddenly missing from the squad for the Bundesliga opener against TSV Hartberg.

"He wasn't really focused recently, we weren't convinced he could help us," explained sporting director Marcus Mann to "Sky" about the absence of the 20-year-old, who wants to leave Salzburg for Club Brugge.

Absent from Training Without Excuse?

The "Salzburger Nachrichten" reported on Sunday that Baidoo had been absent from training without excuse since Wednesday, allegedly trying to force a transfer.

According to the report, this action came as a surprise to the Bulls, as Baidoo is described as a nice and amiable person.

Red Bull Salzburg declined to comment when asked, but also did not issue a denial.

Röhl Hopes for Clarity

Mann spoke plainly on Saturday: "He will not leave the club."

"Contracts must be adhered to and respected. If a transfer is to happen, both sides must agree, and we will not do that. There will be no transfer," said the German.

Röhl, meanwhile, is convinced "that we will resolve this issue and move forward again." He maintains a very good relationship with his protégé and hopes "that clarity will quickly be restored."

Meanwhile, Baidoo's agent, Tony Appiah, is also viewed critically, having reportedly "stepped out of line" on several occasions in the past.
