Sturm Graz and LASK know their potential opponents in the Champions League Playoff!

The draw for the final qualification round of the UEFA Champions League league phase took place in Nyon on Monday.

LASK Must Go to Scotland

Double winners LASK only need to overcome one qualification round in the Champions Path to participate in the premier club competition. The Linz side will face Scottish champions Celtic Glasgow.

Match dates are August 18/19 (first leg) and August 25/26 (second leg). A precise schedule will be announced at a later date.

Should they successfully qualify, it would be LASK's first Champions League participation in the club's history. Financially, overcoming this hurdle would also be a major success. Participation in the league phase would bring the Linz side 18.62 million euros.

However, should the Linz side fail in the playoff, they would at least not leave empty-handed, but would simply transfer to the UEFA Europa League league phase.

Difficult Task for Sturm

SK Sturm must first fight for a spot in the Champions League Playoff in the third qualification round against Fenerbahce Istanbul (first leg on Wednesday, from 8:00 PM in the LIVE ticker).

Should they overcome this hurdle, the winner of the clash between Sparta Prague and Olympique Lyon awaits them in the League Path of the playoff.

The matches would be scheduled for August 18/19 (first leg) and August 25/26 (second leg).

SK Sturm already has a guaranteed spot in a league phase: Should the "Blackies" fail against Fenerbahce, they still have a chance in the Europa League Playoff. Even if that also goes awry, participation in the Conference League league phase is at least secured.
