Rapid starter fit for European Cup? "I assume so"
Markus Katzer expects the midfielder to make a swift comeback. Will he still leave SK Rapid?
Romeo Amane (23) missed SK Rapid's last three games after the opening match against Santa Coloma in the Conference League qualifiers.
For weeks, the Ivorian has been linked with a move. However, Markus Katzer dismissed these rumours on "Sky", stating that Amane is absent due to an ankle injury.
No suitable offer yet
The 23-year-old is expected to be seen in a Rapid jersey again soon. "I assume he will play on Thursday," says Katzer.
The midfielder would thus be fit for the away match against Paide Linnameeskond in the UEFA Conference League qualification (from 6:00 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
However, it's no secret that there are interested parties for Amane. "We don't have an offer on the table yet that we are satisfied with," says Katzer, making it clear that a transfer is not imminent.
Amane still has a contract in Hütteldorf until 2029, and his market value is five million euros. They probably don't want to let him go too cheaply. In January 2025, according to transfermarkt.de, 1.3 million euros were paid to BK Häcken for him.
