Club President openly courts Salzburg talent
The Pole started very strongly in Salzburg, an ex-Chelsea coach confirms interest from his club.
Bartosz Mazurek (19) has started very strongly at FC Red Bull Salzburg after his move from Jagiellonia.
In the Polish media, some were even disappointed that the Austria-based Pole is only in the country's U21 squad.
It's also no secret that other clubs are looking at Salzburg. However, an open declaration of interest in a player is quite rare.
Porto President Andre Villas-Boas made exactly such a statement to "WP SportoweFakty".

"I will not deny that we have closely followed the development of Bartosz Mazurek and were interested in him. Ultimately, he moved to Red Bull Salzburg. He is a great talent, and we will continue to monitor his development," said the Portuguese.
The ex-Chelsea coach already has a Polish connection at his club. Jakub Kiwior, Jan Bednarek, and Oskar Pietuszewski, three of Mazurek's compatriots, currently play for the club.
"We are pleased that we have built such a Polish group here; for us, this is a very interesting case. All three have proven themselves and have shown to be true professionals – be it in terms of their career planning, their discipline, or their will to win. That's why we continuously monitor the Polish market and look out for new talents," said the Porto boss.
