Former Premier League player trains with Hartberg
A few years ago, the winger made a handful of appearances in the English top flight.
Numerous departures, but only one new signing. A lot is likely still to happen at TSV Hartberg this transfer summer.
Magnus Dalpiaz (on loan, all info >>>) is currently the only new player in Markus Schopp's squad. Elias Havel joined permanently from LASK, Konstantin Schopp's loan from Mainz was extended.
Englishman with PL appearances
That's why the East Styrians currently have one or two trialists, as "Krone" reports. One of them is Josh Martin (24). The currently unattached Englishman can even look back on five short appearances for Norwich City (2019/20) in the Premier League.
Since then, the winger has primarily played in the third or fourth division of the country, and was under contract with Cheltenham until July 1, 2026. "Still interesting. We'll continue to assess him," Schopp says about the player.
Son of Christoph Freund also training with the team
In Saturday's friendly against Ujpest Budapest, not only Martin will have the chance to impress, but also Simon Freund (21), the son of Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund.
Also training as a trialist: Tobi Oluwayemi (23). The English keeper was under contract with Admira from 2023 to 2024 and even played for England's U20 team.
