Dominik Fitz Is Too Expensive for WAC

Wolfsberger AC recently made its interest in Dominik Fitz very public.

WAC coach Thomas Silberberger confirmed that they had looked into the former Austria Wien player. However, efforts to sign the 27-year-old attacking player appear to have been in vain.

As reported by "Kleine Zeitung", a return for Fitz to the Bundesliga will not happen.

Reportedly, signing the ÖFB international is not financially feasible for WAC, it is said.

Replacement Sought

Nevertheless, the Lavanttal club would like to sign another midfielder to fill the gap left by Dejan Zukic's departure to Vojvodina Novi Sad.

Dominik Fitz has been playing for Minnesota United since August 2025, but has never been more than a squad player since then. Minnesota's first MLS game after the World Cup break is already scheduled for Thursday.
