WSG Tirol signs former ÖFB national player
The former LASK winger had been without a club since early July. Now he has found a new team.
Thomas Goiginger will also play in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga next season.
The 33-year-old, who was without a club after relegation with FC Blau-Weiß Linz, moves to WSG Tirol on a free transfer. The Wattens club announced this on Friday.
Goiginger will wear jersey number 36 in the future and has already completed his first training session with the team. The club did not provide any details on the contract duration.
Goiginger brings the experience of 253 matches in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga to Tyrol. In recent weeks, he was also linked with second-division club Austria Salzburg as well as various clubs abroad as a potential new signing.

He knows the Admiral Bundesliga very well, brings determination, and will play an important role in our squad both on and off the pitch," said Stefan Köck, Sports Manager of WSG Tirol.
"Discussions with the officials were very positive over a longer period. I am all the more pleased that the move to WSG has now worked out. I want to help the team with my experience, guide our young players, and lead the way even in difficult phases," says Goiginger.
"My clear goal is to do my part so that we can play a successful season together and refreshing football," adds the former ÖFB national player.
