After Tabakovic: Is Salzburg signing the next ex-Austria player?
First talks are said to have already taken place between the "Bulls" and the player.
FC Red Bull Salzburg is apparently considering another former Austria player.
According to "Sky Sport Austria", the Mozartstadt club is said to be looking into a transfer for Christian Früchtl (26).
The Lecce backup keeper (no league appearance in 2025/26) is reportedly one of several options for the number two position behind Christian Zawieschitzky.
After Abubabkr Barry and Haris Tabakovic, Früchtl would be the third "Bulls" signing with an Austria past. The German kept goal for Wiener Austria from 2022 to 2024, making 80 appearances for the "Violets".
