The center-back never made the breakthrough with the "Bulls" and returns to Brazil.
Red Bull Salzburg announces the departure of Douglas Mendes.
The center-back moves to Brazilian second-division club Vila Nova FC.
Only One Appearance for the "Bulls"
Mendes came to Salzburg at the beginning of 2023, but ultimately only made one appearance for the "Bulls". In the meantime, he was loaned to FC Liefering and RB Bragantino.
His new club is currently in the thick of the fight for promotion to the Brazilian Serie A. After 15 games in the year-long championship, the club is currently in third place, two points behind league leaders Novorizontino.
