The demand for the Westderby is "enormous," say the Innsbruck club.

Thousands of fans are already eagerly anticipating this match: On October 16, FC Wacker Innsbruck and SV Austria Salzburg will face each other in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga Westderby (live stream on LAOLA1 from 8:30 PM CET).

This Wednesday, the Innsbruck club started the first phase of public ticket sales at 8 AM.

Demand is "enormous," FC Wacker Innsbruck told LAOLA1 upon request. More than 10,000 tickets have already been sold. According to the club, members were separately informed about the pre-sale.

"After half an hour, 3,000 tickets were gone," Wacker President Hannes Rauch told "KURIER".

Wacker Sets Course for the Future

Meanwhile, there is also sporting news: The Tyroleans announced the early and long-term contract extension with youngster Christopher Weinzierl on Wednesday. The new term was not specified.

The 18-year-old attacking player has been in the starting eleven for all five games of the current LigaZwa season.

In the first round, he scored a goal in the 5-0 victory against SW Bregenz.

Wacker also extended the contract of midfielder Mouhamed Sy (22). The Senegalese has been playing for the Innsbruck club since 2024.

Additionally, the Tyroleans permanently signed Anderson Rodriguez (19). The striker from Uruguay was on loan from Grasshopper Club Zürich and has now signed a long-term contract.

The contract extension of captain Rami Tekir had already been announced on Tuesday (all info >>>).
