Sturm II: Learned of departure at team evening
For Dennis Jastrzembski, his time in Graz-Liebenau came to an unpleasant end.
SK Sturm Graz and Dennis Jastrzembski are going their separate ways.
After one season in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, the forward (26) will not receive a new contract in Graz-Liebenau.
However, as the German-Pole now reveals in an interview with "transfermarkt.de", communication with the "Blackies" was rather unfortunate.
Farewell Jersey Brought Certainty
According to his own statements, Jastrzembski learned of his departure from Sturm II under unusual circumstances. "Honestly, it only became clear to me at the team evening when I received the farewell jersey, as I hadn't received any message or information from anyone."
The former Poland U21 international had only moved from Fortuna Düsseldorf to Graz in September 2025.
There, he was supposed to help the second team with his experience from 19 games in the German Bundesliga, 23 matches in the 2. Bundesliga, and 47 appearances in the Polish Ekstraklasa.
In the end, he scored three goals in 24 games in LigaZwa. Nevertheless, he looks back positively on his time with the "Schwoazen" second team.
Positive Assessment After Season with Sturm II
"Personally, I'm very happy that I got a lot of playing time, so I've regained my match fitness. The league and tactics are a bit different than in Germany, but all in all, I would say it was a good experience because there's less external influence and stress."
What's next for the left-footed player is not yet clear.
"It would be very important for me to gain trust and to be in good hands, so that I can give 110 percent and feel comfortable. I don't have any specific wishes regarding a league or country." However, he could imagine a return to his youth club Holstein Kiel, as well as to his former club Fortuna Düsseldorf.
