Equipment Change: Stefan Kraft to Jump on Hirscher's Skis
The ÖSV ace is changing ski brands for the upcoming season – like many others. Three new brands are joining this year.
ÖSV ski jumper Stefan Kraft will be using Marcel Hirscher's skis in the future!
This was reported by the "Kurier". According to the report, Kraft tested all brands during the summer, as ÖSV head coach Andreas Widhölzl revealed.
Ultimately, the choice fell on skis from Van Deer - but with Biogena branding.
New Ski Trio
In total, three new ski companies will be present on the ski jumps next season. Fischer-Dübel, Biogena, and Stiebel-Eltron are new additions to the lineup.
The trio is having their own jumping skis manufactured, similar to what Fluege.de, Sport 2000, and BWT have been doing for years.
However, the skis are produced by Fischer (Stiebel-Eltron and Fischer-Dübel) and Van Deer (Biogena). Slatnar from Slovenia is now the only other producer.
More ÖSV Aces Change Ski Brand
While Kraft - who previously jumped with Fischer skis - is now switching to Biogena, Jonas Schuster is moving to Fischer-Dübel. Clemens Aigner will jump on Slatnar skis.
And in Nordic Combined, Johannes Lamparter and Thomas Rettenegger are switching to Stiebel-Eltron, as reported by the "Kurier".
