ÖSV Junior World Champion Becomes Serviceman for Kobayashi and Co.
The 26-year-old ended his career last winter, and is now embarking on new paths, both athletically and professionally.
Peter Resinger is embarking on an exciting path after ending his career.
The former Junior World Champion is currently lacing up his football boots for Bad Hofgastein in the first 1. Landesliga, but remains with the ski jumping circuit in a different capacity.
Starting next winter, he will take on the job of serviceman for the Japanese national team and will travel the world with Kobayashi and his teammates.
Until then, however, he is a defender for Bad Hofgastein. He currently has a footballing goal: "Physically, I still need to gain a bit, as I'm still carrying my past around with me," he tells the "Salzburger Nachrichten". His coach, however, already raves about his technique and vision.
Career Ends After Kulm Flight
Only in February, the 26-year-old announced his retirement as a ski jumper. He completed his last flight at Kulm, and most recently competed in the FIS Cup. In 2020, he crowned himself Junior World Champion.
For the ski jumpers, the World Cup starts on November 20 in Lillehammer with a mixed competition.
