Tabakovic scores in victorious goal fest against Romania

After the opening draw against Poland, coach Sergej Barbarez's team celebrates a 4-2 away win against Romania.

The Bosnians dominated from the start, with Salzburg striker Tabakovic having a chance to take the lead after just eight minutes, but he shot narrowly wide. Gigovic did better moments later, heading in a cross from Bajraktarevic from close range (12'). Less than ten minutes later, former WAC professional Muharemovic extended the lead with a header following a Basic corner (19').

Romania then became more dangerous, but both Stanciu (22') and Bîrligea (23') were denied by keeper Zlomislic. However, Zlomislic was beaten by Bîrligea's header (28'). But with the score at 3-1 just before halftime, it was Tabakovic who, with a clinical finish, extinguished any hopes of a Romanian comeback.

After the break, former ÖFB player Ermin Mahmic provided the decisive goal (55'), before Cicâldau (62') scored the final goal. Bosnia and Herzegovina now has four points in Group 4 of League B. Sweden leads the group, securing their second win in as many games with a 3-1 home victory over Poland.
