ÖFB Duo Sidelined for Nations League Away Games

National team coach Ralf Rangnick will have to do without two players in Ireland and Kosovo. There's also an update on Sascha Horvath.

Austria will have to play their two Nations League away games against Ireland (Thursday, 20:45) and Kosovo (Sunday, 18:00) without Paul Wanner and Nikolas Veratschnig.

Both players sustained injuries during Sunday's 3-1 home win against Kosovo. Wanner was diagnosed with an injury to his left foot sole, while Veratschnig sustained an injury to his right knee.

The duo will return to their clubs prematurely.

All-clear for Horvath

However, there's good news regarding Sascha Horvath. The 30-year-old had to end Monday's training session early, but an MRI examination revealed no structural injury.

The LASK captain is therefore available to national team coach Ralf Rangnick.
