The debutant and youngest ÖFB goalkeeper in 81 years showed a strong performance. He was typically good on the ball, and also present on the line. He made a strong save against Muriqi in the 50th minute. Apart from a brief moment of uncertainty when attempting to catch the ball in the second half, he remained composed and definitely recommended himself for further appearances.
NIKOLAS VERATSCHNIG

The second Salzburg debutant also showed a solid performance and largely had his flank under control. However, in Kosovo's big chance for the lead in the fourth minute, Veratschnig should have resorted to a tactical foul after losing the duel. Offensively, he constantly pushed forward and was more present than his counterpart Wöber, although there is still room for improvement for him too.
DAVID AFFENGRUBER

What he regularly showed last season at Elche and recently in the Premier League, he now demonstrated in the ÖFB jersey. He impressed not only with his spectacular header goal but also with a strong defensive performance and build-up play. However, he was a bit too impetuous during the penalty incident. Without that mistake, a top grade would have been possible.

The Sunderland professional was once again one of the strongest Austrians. Together with Affengruber, he largely kept the defense tight and barely allowed any threats. Apart from two chances, the Kosovars practically found no way through. The Sunderland player also did very well in the build-up play.
MAXIMILIAN WÖBER

His lack of match practice was noticeable at times. His positioning was mostly solid, but he cut a poor figure in the action before Muriqi's top chance in the second half. His pass completion rate of only 61 percent was also in need of significant improvement. He offered little going forward.
XAVER SCHLAGER

The captain was the strongest man on the pitch. Extremely secure on the ball (94 percent pass completion) and strong in duels, he also repeatedly provided dangerous through balls. He was instrumental in the 2-0: with a quick dribble, he drove the ball from his own penalty area forward and released Wimmer at exactly the right moment.

Not as conspicuous as Schlager, he nevertheless completed an extremely strong central midfield partnership. As often, he played calmly and without major flashy moments, but all the more authoritative in his actions. He gave the Austrian game the necessary stability.

He didn't always make the best decisions in his actions within the opponent's penalty area. In the 34th minute, he could have taken the shot himself when alone in front of goal. The second time, he did better and was crucially involved in Adamu's 2-0 goal. In the second half, he could have played out another action to Kalajdzic better. Otherwise, he worked hard, won several free kicks, and diligently contributed defensively.
ROMANO SCHMID

Schmid covered a lot of ground defensively but was largely subdued offensively. However, he was instrumental in the opening goal with his free-kick assist for the 1-0. In the 39th minute, he should also have been awarded a penalty after being brought down in the box.

In his short playing time, he rarely managed to stand out but hinted at his potential. A dangerous cross to Kalajdzic was his most notable action.
