The ÖFB team has achieved a highly successful start to the UEFA Nations League. After the victory against Israel, Rangnick's side even improved their performance.

"Everyone who was in the stadium today saw that we had really good energy on the pitch. And that was the key to the game," said head coach Ralf Rangnick after the 3-1 victory over Franco Foda's Kosovo to "ORF" microphones.

"No one to single out, no one fell short"

David Affengruber, who celebrated his ÖFB starting XI debut and promptly scored his first international goal with the 1-0 lead, spoke of a "super" team performance. "Our team chemistry is right; then it works more easily on the pitch."

His coach also praised the cohesion. "Today, there's no one to single out; no one fell short. Everyone was the best possible teammate to their teammates. Even if a mistake happens, we immediately have two or three players who make up for it. That was the case today."

And for this reason, his team had the Kosovars "almost the entire game under control."

The national team's journey continues next Thursday in Ireland.
