KAC Goalie Dahm's Season Ends Prematurely
Sebastian Dahm suffered a serious lower-body injury during the league match in Ljubljana, requiring surgery and a months-long layoff.
KAC will have to do without Sebastian Dahm for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper suffered a severe lower-body injury during a collision with an opponent in last Friday's 7-3 victory in Ljubljana.
The injury requires surgery, followed by several months of rehabilitation for the Dane.
Dahm Vows to Fight Back
Dahm said: "This diagnosis was a literal gut punch that I first have to digest. But I immediately swore to myself that today is already the first day on my path back onto the ice."
The previously flawless Red Jackets have a "very strong team this year that has every chance to be successful," Dahm commented. "It hurts a lot not to be able to be part of this journey."
"I have to accept this bitter situation, but I will do everything I can to fight my way back," Dahm commented on the bad news he received.
The impact of his long-term absence is now being evaluated, KAC wrote in a statement. "The club will react accordingly."
