The FIS has now found a replacement for the World Cup races in Narvik (NOR)!

As announced by the organizer on Thursday, the women's speed races on March 12 and 13 will now be held in Kvitfjell (NOR).

Two training sessions will take place on Wednesday (March 10) and Thursday (March 11). The downhill is scheduled for Friday (March 12) and the Super-G for Saturday (March 13).

Last season, Kvitfjell hosted the World Cup Finals.

Cancellation and Focus on the Ski World Championships

The originally planned races in Narvik were canceled by the FIS due to risks associated with the completion of the venue.

"Narvik has committed to major construction work and is doing an excellent job. However, we simply cannot take any risks with a World Cup. We all agree that Narvik should better invest all its energy into a state-of-the-art facility for the 2029 Alpine Ski World Championships," says FIS Race Director Peter Gerdol.
