She is currently in her home country undergoing more detailed examinations. "Sofia had a problem with fatigue, but it's nothing traumatic. She simply doesn't feel well and is unable to train. So there was no point in staying there and risking injury. That's why she preferred to go home," explains her personal coach, Gianluca Rulfi, to "Gazzetta dello Sport".

Season Start in Jeopardy?

According to the 62-year-old, the condition appeared suddenly: "Sofia felt good until a few days ago and was fast in training. She trained Super-G, giant slalom, and even slalom," he explains.

Even after two or three days of rest, Goggia's condition did not improve. The fatigue persisted, which is why the team decided to call it quits.

Examinations in Argentina would have taken too long, so she returned to Italy.

Whether she will be fit for the season opener in Sölden on October 24 remains to be seen.
