After his coaching exit from Lindsey Vonn's team, the 43-year-old is now working as a coach again.
New Job for Aksel Lund Svindal!
The former ski star is taking on a coaching role in the Norwegian ski team. "I myself was part of such a team for many years, and it certainly isn't bad to have a bit of experience," he told Norwegian broadcaster "NRK".
Most Recently with Team Vonn
He most recently worked as a coach with Lindsey Vonn's team; the collaboration ended in April. Whether Vonn (43) will make a comeback after her severe fall at the Olympic Games is currently uncertain.
Svindal is primarily tasked with looking after the technical specialists among the Norwegians. "Aksel is a good analyst; he proved that as an athlete and as Lindsey's coach. We are fortunate to have him on board," says Norway's Alpine director Claus Ryste.
