Grabher Delivers Another Power Display in Amstetten
The Vorarlberg native concedes only one game to Croatia's Iva Primorac.
Julia Grabher is quickly through to the quarter-finals of the Ladies Open Amstetten.
The Vorarlberg native dominated Croatia's Iva Primorac (WTA-454.) with a 6:1, 6:0 victory. The 30-year-old had swept aside her compatriot Elena Perelygina with the same scoreline in the opening round.
Grabher started the match with a break, fended off four break points at 2:1, and sealed the set with another break to make it 4:1.
In the second set, things only got tricky at 4:0, where Grabher again successfully fended off four break points. After 1 hour and 17 minutes, she converted her second match point.
In the quarter-finals, top seed Grabher will face either 15-year-old Ida Wobker (GER/WTA-793.) or Vivian Wolff (USA/WTA-288.).
