Tennis today: Miedler/Oberleitner battle for Vienna title
The Austrian top doubles pair could claim their next major title within a few weeks at the Erste Bank Open. LIVE info:
Austrians Lucas Miedler and Neil Oberleitner have the chance for their next major title on Sunday (from 11:30 AM in the LIVE ticker) - and that at home.
Miedler/Oberleitner are in the doubles final of the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. In the final of the ATP 500 tournament, they will face Ryan Seggerman/Learner Tien from the USA.
The clash with Seggerman already occurred last week in the ATP 250 doubles final in Almaty, where the American, alongside Yuki Bhambri, prevailed against the Austrians.
For Miedler/Oberleitner, it's about continuing a great run. At the ATP 1000 in Shanghai, they won their first joint title two weeks ago, in Almaty they reached the final, and in Vienna they have also advanced to the final.
Miedler can win the doubles tournament in Vienna for the third time; for Oberleitner, it would be a premiere.
