For Neil Oberleitner, the Canadian adventure at the ATP Challenger in Québec ends in the first round.

The Viennese player and his doubles partner Petr Nouza (CZE) suffered a bitter 6:7(5), 6:3 and 8:10 defeat against Ariel Behar (URU)/Fernando Romboli (BRA).

Oberleitner initially took a 5:4 lead in the first set after a break and also earned a set point. However, the duo squandered the chance on their own serve and fell behind in sets after a lost tie-break.

However, Oberleitner/Nouza were not deterred and played better in the second set. Consequently, the duo fought for a 5:3 lead with a break and served confidently to level the sets at 1:1.

This led to a match tie-break, in which the doubles duo quickly built a 3:0 lead. However, at 8:8, the South American duo got their first and only match point.

Ultimately, the 26-year-old Viennese player and the Czech had to concede defeat after 1 hour and 52 minutes.
